April Program Luncheon: Planning and Economics - April 22, 2009 - Please join us for a presentation and discussion with Bill Anderson, FAICP regarding planners' roles, responsibilities, and impacts on project and municipal economics in the San Diego region. He will also discuss how the current economic environment is affecting planning activities in the City of San Diego. The luncheon will be held at the Yard House 1023 4th Avenue (Between Broadway and C Street) downtown San Diego. Registration deadline is Monday, April 20th, 2009.

The Nolen Plan: Vision, Politics & Memory in San Diego - April 21, 2009 - Be among the first to see a new film that celebrates the 100th anniversary of John Nolen's visionary plan for San Diego! Explore its philosophical and political origins as well as its impact over the past century in this locally-produced documentary by urban planner Brian Mooney with historian Iris Engstrand, author Roger Showley and planners Michael Stepner & Bill Anderson.
