Volunteers Needed for Regional Planning Stakeholders Working Group - June 30, 2009 - SANDAG is seeking public volunteers for its Regional Planning Stakeholders Working Group (SWG). The SWG will act in an advisory capacity to both the SANDAG Regional Planning and Transportation Committees on the development of the 2050 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) and its components, and laying the foundation for the next Regional Comprehensive Pan (RCP) update. The 2050 RTP is scheduled for adoption by the SANDAG Board of Directors in 2011. The SWG provides a unique opportunity for SANDAG to involve citizens with expertise in subject matter areas of regional interest as well as individuals who reflect the demographics of the region, with particular emphasis on communities that are not traditionally involved in the regional planning process.
